TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- The Chick-fil-A at West Ridge Mall will close its doors for good later this month.
The fast food restaurant, which has been in the mall for over 30 years, plans to shutter its doors on Saturday, January 19th.
"It has been our pleasure to serve you at this location since 1988. Thank you for your loyalty and support for the last 30 years!" Interim Manager Jon Morris said in a statement on the location's Facebook page. "We look forward to serving you over the next three weeks."
That location, inside the mall, is one of two Chick-fil-A's stores in the area. A stand-alone shop opened in October 2016 at the intersection of SW 17th and Wanamaker Rd. There has been no indication that one will close.
Chick-fil-A joins Kwan Wah follows Kwan Wah as a restaurant abandoning the mall, which has recently also seen the closures of retail outlets, including Burlington Coat Factory, Gap, and the anticipated loss of Kitchen Collection, Motherhood Maternity, and Riddles Jewelry.
