Event lets adults have fun at Kansas Children’s Discovery Center
TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - You can support the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center with a playtime just for adults.
Queren King-Orozco visited Eye on NE Kansas with the details on KCDC’s new fundraiser, Discovery After Dark.
While regular rules are that an adult must have a child with them to explore the center, this event is for adults aged 21 and older, with no children allowed.
Guests will have access to a cash bar and the Discover Cafe. They’ll also be able to take part in all the museum’s activities, including the current Peanuts exhibit.
King-Orozco said the money raised will support KCDC’s access programs, which offer free or reduced admission. Currently, KCDC offers a free night from 5 to 8 p.m. every third Thursday of the month.
Discovery After Dark runs 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 10 at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center. Tickets are $11 at the door.
