Topeka Public Schools to ban phones in classrooms this school year

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka Public Schools is instituting a no-phone policy starting this school year.

The USD 501 School Board approved the change in June, following the statewide recommendations drafted by the Kansas State Department of Education.

Phones must be kept off and out of sight during all classes. You can read the district’s full policy below.
