Theft of $60,000 worth of ground beef reported by Riley business

RILEY, Kan. (WIBW) - Authorities are investigating the theft of thousands of dollars worth of ground beef from a Riley business.
The incident was reported around 1:43 p.m. Tuesday at Meatworks of Kansas, located at 315 S. Main St. in Riley.
The business was deceived by email for the purchase of 15,000 pounds of ground beef by an unknown person, according to Riley County Police officials.
The total loss associated with the incident was listed at $60,000.
