WATCH: Raccoon gets a wheelchair

GETTING AROUND: Vittles was found by an Arkansas wildlife rehabilitation specialist when the raccoon was eight weeks old. She has a brain injury that hinders her ability to walk and her balance. A company called Walkin’ Pets fitted Vittles with an adjustable wheelchair that helps her get around.

Day Lynn Hughes was recognized with the 2020 Rising Star Western Missouri & Kansas Affiliate Award for Aspirations in Computing. Quincy Elementary School was given a certificate from Living The Dream for their successful food drive.
