TOPEKAM, Kan. (WIBW)- A Topeka man has been charged with three felonies in Lawrence.
Durrell Scott Thomas appeared in front of the judge yesterday to receive his charges from an incident occuring in Lawrence Wednesday.
The Lawrence Journal-World reports that Thomas was driving a vehicle that a police officer attempted to stop, but Thomas took off.
He eventually lost control of the vehicle and struck a median. He and another occupant fled the scene.
After a struggle between three officers and a taser, Thomas was apprehended.
He is being charged with felony fleeing and eluding, felony obstruction criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon among other charges.
His bond was set at $20,000.
The second occupant in the car was not found.
