TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- An arrest has been made in relation to Friday's drive-by in Topeka's Hi-Crest neighborhood.

Captain Ash Kaboudan confirms police have arrested 35 year old Ralfeal E. Carr of Topeka for the shooting that sent 35 year old Royelle Miller to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

He was interviewed by detectives and transported to the Department of Corrections for Aggravated Battery, Aggravated Weapons Violation and for shooting at an occupied dwelling.

Police continue to search for the black Dodge Durango that may have been involved in the shooting.

Dozens of Topeka Police officers descended on southeast Topeka's Hi-Crest neighborhood Friday night following reports of a shooting. They are still searching for the suspected shooter.

Police received reports of multiple shots fired in the area of SE Humboldt and SE Irvingham around 9:15 p.m. When they arrived, they found an adult man in a yard in the 3300 block of SE Humboldt.

Topeka Police say the victim suffered a non-life threatening wound to his leg. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police taped off the area, which isn't far from Betty Phillips Park.

This the sixth drive-by shooting reported in the Hi-Crest neighborhood in the past month. Topeka Police report arrests in three of the incidents, but they continue searching for suspects in the others, including a July 6th shooting that claimed the life of five-year-old Lily Coats-Nichols.

Anyone with information on any of the shootings should call Crime Stoppers at 785-234-0007 or report it online at http://www.topekacrimestoppers.org.
