(KAKE)-- Emergency crews are on scene of a fatal plane crash southeast of Derby in Sedgwick County.

Multiple fire and EMS units were dispatched to the area of 95th Street South and Webb Road around 10:15 a.m. Initial crews on scene found smoke and flames showing in the area north of 95th and east of Webb. First responders then closed 95th Street between Webb and Greenwich.

There's a debris field directly east of a cemetery in the area, and the plane was completely destroyed. Sedgwick County Sheriff Jeff Easter said the plane split apart before impacting the ground.

There are no survivors, but Sheriff Easter couldn't say how many people were on board. He said the FAA and NTSB have been notified and are on their way to the scene.

The FAA reports the plane is a 1975 Cessna 500 Citation 1, registered to Dufresne Inc. of Murrietta, California. According to flight tracking websites, this plane took off from Mid-Continent Airport at 10:07 and was en route to New Braunfels, Texas.
