Nebraska Father Interrupts Home Invasion Robbery

LINCOLN, Neb (KOLN)-- One man was arrested, and police are still looking for another after a Lincoln father interrupted a home invasion robbery.

Police say the call came in about 11:30 Friday morning near 39th and Starr. A man went home for lunch and found his back door was kicked in. Police say he interrupted a robbery in progress. His kids were inside the home at the time.

Police say the man chased one suspect away from the house and saw another suspect get into a car and drive away.

Police were able to catch the suspect that was on foot nearby when an officer came into the area.

Officers also found evidence from the robbery near the home. Multiple cruisers were called to the area including two dogs. Police are still looking for a white male wearing a ski mask who drove away in a black Grand Am with front end damage.

Police say no one was hurt in the robbery.
