PHILADELPHIA, PA (CBS)-- Philadelphia Police are searching for the suspects involved in an alleged assault in their subway.

The incident occurred March 19th when the victim was on the northbound platform for the subway at 400 South Broad Street.

As seen in surveillance video, the teen was attacked by a group of young men. The suspects then ran away.

The victim's mother is still stunned after a pack of teenagers attacked her 15-year-old son when he was waiting for a train. She asked not to be identified after her son ended up at Jefferson Hospital with multiple injuries from the assault.

Passengers at the station on Monday were stunned to learn of the vicious attack.

Police say it all started when the victim and several other teens were walking on Broad Street near the station.

Words were exchanged between two groups and everyone scattered. The victim headed to the platform to catch his train home, that's when the other teens spotted him, according to police and the teen was chased by his alleged attackers.

Philadelphia police managed to arrest two or three of the suspects back up at street level. Now, they're trying to identify the rest of the teens involved in the Broad Street beating.
