TOPEKA (WIBW) -- The League of Women Voters of Topeka-Shawnee County is welcoming a who's who panel of Topeka-area legislators to discuss education funding and a wide range of legislative issues, during the LWV's Tuesday Topics program.

Slated to appear are Sen. Laura Kelly, Sen. Vicki Schmidt, Rep. Dick Jones, Rep. Annie Kuether, Rep. Annie Tietze and Rep. John Alcala.

The panel presentation at the Topeka-Shawnee County Public Library will begin at Noon. The optional lunch for just over $8 will be offered again tomorrow, at 11:30am.

The presentation is free and open to the public.

And the League of Women Voters isn't focusing just on politics. One of the League's activities this holiday season is collecting books and clothing to assist Pine Ridge Prep here in Topeka.

The League is a non-partisan political organization with the goal of empowering citizens to actively participate in their government at the local, state and national levels. Both men and women are welcome to join the League to participate in its volunteer activities.
