TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- The man who was the focus of a manhunt earlier this month in Jackson County is behind bars in Oklahoma.
Sheriff Tim Morse says Danny Adams was taken into custody Thursday. Morse says an investigation involving social media helped authorities locate him at a bar in Prior, Oklahoma. Morse says Adams reportedly gave Oklahoma law enforcement a false name and is being held there on charges related to that investigation.
The 25-year-old was wanted on an outstanding warrant from Wyandotte County.
Jackson County authorities issued an alert for Adams August 1st, when he twice fled deputies as they tried to apprehend him.
