TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Residents from across the county grabbed their cowboy boots and headed to the Shawnee County Fair Saturday.
This is the first weekend of the Shawnee County Fair at the Kansas Expocenter. Horses galloped through the arena as the opening act at 10 this morning. Competitors from around the county came to show off their best skills at the fair.
“I've done it since I was little and I've always loved to do it,” said Abby Yetter, contestant. “It's been my favorite thing and I've always had the passion for horses, so getting to compete in 4-H and other rodeos in general helps me live through my passion.”
The horse show concluded tonight with the horse judging contest and rodeo.
