Here's How You Can Get Tickets To See President Obama

LAWRENCE, Kan. (WIBW) – The University of Kansas detailed President Barack Obama's itinerary when he visits Lawrence later this week.

Obama will be speaking at Anschutz Sports Pavilion, next to Allen Fieldhouse, on Thursday. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m.

No one will be allowed to park in the lots around Anschutz Sports Pavilion will be closed, except for a limited number of handicapped spots, the university says.

The school recommends anyone with tickets - and you must have tickets to attend park in Lots 301 and 302, which you can reach from Crestline Drive and 23rd Street. They will provide to shuttles to the pavilion.

KU students, faculty, and staff will be able to get tickets, starting at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at SUA Box Office, 1301 Jayhawk Blvd., Lawrence, KS, 66045. You must present your valid ID to receive a ticket.

Members of the general public can start getting tickets that night at 5:00 p.m. at Douglas Co. Fairgrounds - Dreher 4-H Building, 2110 Harper St., in Lawrence. The entrance is east of the extension offices.

Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis and will be limited to one ticket per person. Tickets can not be re-sold.

For security reasons, you are asked not to bring bags and limit your personal items. Everyone will have to go through airport-like security. No signs or banners are permitted.
