Emporia State celebrates their new Art Therapy facility and program birthday

EMPORIA, Kan. (WIBW) Emporia State's Art Therapy program celebrated a big milestone today, along with a new facility.

ESU is home to the oldest continuing Art Therapy program in the country, which was started in the 1970s.
Today, the school celebrated the new facility and the program's 42nd birthday with cake and of course, art!

Art Therapy combines traditional therapy with art making and is practiced in many different settings from children's hospitals to alcohol and drug counseling.
