TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)- A Kansas politician is making a grand entrance at his Alma mater.
To celebrate 150 years at Washburn University, Bob Dole is helping kick off Homecoming week that goes until October 25th.
At 10 a.m. Dole will be the Grand Marshall of the Grand Parade on Saturday October 24th.
Dole graduated from Washburn in 1952. Dole spent nearly 30 years as a U.S. senator. He is a World War II veteran and received the Washburn Alumni Distinguished Service Award in 1966.
He also received the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007.
