6/8/2015, 12:30pm- Over the past 5+ months, the Central Plains have been bombarded with rain. That's right-flooded, with excessive rainfall across the entirety of the region. Over this past week, it was Kansas' turn to catch up to Oklahoma and Texas. Spots in Northeast Kansas, recieved the highest amounts in the country, as you can see from the first image shown below (5-9 inches).
Now, it's starting to look like a trend that it is going to be a wetter start to summer-more rain is on the way. Over the next two weeks, it does look like even more rainfall could be headed our way. Including, more flooding conditions in spots. The bright note: this will keep temperatures lower for at least the start of the summer season.
