Kansas Awarded Disabled Health Care Funds

The Kansas Health Policy Authority was awarded more than $900,000 to pilot a project that aims to improve preventive health care for the disabled who are enrolled in Medicaid.

The agency will use that money for a modeling tool that would identify health needs and improve preventive health care in the disabled Medicaid population.

Funds have also been distributed to 26 other states across the country.

The money helps state programs develop new ways to improve Medicaid efficiency, economy and quality of care.
