Friday, the Shawnee County Health Agency will be offering area residents another chance to get a flu shot for the winter.
"We typically see flu season peak in mid-January to March each year," noted Martha Froetschner, SCHA - Communicable Disease and Immunization Team Leader.
The health agency encourages all residents ages 6 mos. and older to get a flu shot as the best way to protect against the flu.
The shot costs $28.00 and the SCHA will accept cash, check, and is affiliated with several major medical providers including Medicaid, Medicare, and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
