After almost two hours of closed door meetings, the principals of Colorado Elementary School and Holton High School emerged as the interim superintendents for U.S.D. 336.
Mark C. Wilson from Colorado Elementary and Alan Beam from Holton High will each work a half day at the district office handling the day-to-day operations of the district.
The board recently agreed to sever its relationship with former Superintendent Brad Rahe after 4 and a half years, buying out the six months of his contract.
The board is currently advertising the positions as vacant and expects to be interviewing finalists as soon as next month. Even after hiring a new superintendent, though, that individual might not start until July 1st, depending on prior job commitments.
To compensate for the additional duties, Wilson and Beam will each receive an additional $3,000 per month.
