Wildcats making History under Klieman

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WIBW) - Not many people expected K-State to compete for a trophy in Chris Klieman's first season. Eight wins later, he has the most victories for a first-year head coach in program history. A ninth win would mark the first nine-win season for the Wildcats since 2016.

The Wildcats are preparing to face off against Navy on Tuesday, December 31st at 2:45 pm.

This further cements a special year.

"It would finish the chapter, finish the story." Chris Klieman said. "We talk about the journey that we've been on and we have one more chapter, one more story to write. For me, it's let's reward these seniors that have put so much time and effort into their four and five years here. That's what we want to do is try to go out and win for the seniors."

Kansas State will kick off against Navy Tuesday at 2:45 pm.
