TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- After winning the first 22 games of its season, No. 9 Washburn volleyball has now suffered its first loss.

The Bearcats tallied seven aces against the Ichabods, and were led by Maddy Bruder's 15 kills.

Washburn battled close in the third set, forcing 13 ties and eight lead changes. Northwest Missouri's late 5-0 run in the set proved to be the Ichabods' Achilles heel and they fell 25-20.
