(WIBW) -- **5A and 3-2-1A regionals postponed to Thursday due to weather.**
The Washburn Rural girls golf team are regionals champions yet again after defeating Manhattan by just one stroke on Monday, 181-182.
Manhattan's Elise Jackson, however, took home individual honors for the Indians.
The event was held in Wichita at Tex Consolver Golf Course, but did not escape the rains. All play was halted after nine holes and scores were made final.
The Junior Blues placed three golfers in the top five with senior Abby Depperschmidt coming in at third after a scorecard playoff. Junior Cassidy McMaster finished fourth while sophomore Madelyn Luttjohann came in fifth.
Manhattan senior Camryn McAtee placed sixth followed by sophomores Andi Siebert and Aben Ryan in seventh and eighth, respectively.
The 6A state tournament is slated for next Monday at Salina Municipal Golf Course.
In class 4A, Hayden came in on top with a 333, followed by Holton with 396 and Wamego with 414.
The Wildcats were led by senior Caroline Setter who finished with a 78 and the individual regionals title. She narrowly topped teammate Katye Vausbinder by one stroke.
Sarah Carson finished in third place and Haley Karolevitz finished in fifth place for the Wildcats.
