Topeka Rodeo brings together Midwest's best cowboys, cowgirls

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- The 2018 Topeka Rodeo was held Saturday at the North Topeka Saddle Club.

Events included bull riding, bare back riding, barrel racing, saddle bronc, team roping, calf roping, steer wrestling and break away roping, each with money to win on the line.

The event is held each year by 94.5 country, and is sanctioned by the United Rodeo Association.

Featured in between the events is the Celebrity Pony Hop which featured WIBW's own Shawn Wheat and Nicole Feyh, Jim Daniels from 94.5 Country, Shawnee County Sheriff Herman T. Jones, Washburn head men's basketball coach Brett Ballard, Expo Centre Facility Manager Justin Gregory and Go Topeka's Molly Howey.
