(WIBW) - Three local athletes signed National Letters of Intent on Wednesday to continue their athletic careers at the Division I level.
Shawnee Heights' Amaya Tillman signed with Louisville to play volleyball for the Cardinals. She said the program's coaches and facilities stood out to her the most when making her decision.
Washburn Rural's Jaybe Shufelberger signed to run for Kansas State. The cross country star mentioned at the beginning of the season, she didn't even think running for the Wildcats was a possibility. But she is happy to stay close to home.
Finally, Manhattan's Clayton "Bubba" Wilson will be going to wrestle at Nebraska. Wilson said this is just the next step to achieving some big goals: winning an NCAA championship and becoming an Olympic champion someday.
