TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Topeka High junior Da'Vonshai Harden announced on Twitter on Monday he would be committing to the University of Kansas to play football.
The dual-threat quarterback and athlete also had offers from Kansas State, Illinois State and Northern Iowa as well as interest from several other Division I programs before picking the Jayhawks.
According to Scott Chasen of 247 Sports, former KU defensive coordinator Clint Bowen was part of Harden's recruitment, "which could mean Harden will project at a position outside quarterback.
However, he told The Topeka Capital-Journal that Kansas "wants to use him at quarterback."
According to the Topeka Capital-Journal, Harden has 1,602 total yards on offense and has a 17-4 mark as a starter for the Trojans.
