LOS ANGELES (WIBW) -- Sure seems like former Jayhawks are flocking to the court of King James.
Svi Mykhailiuk just became the second member of last year's Final Four squad to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers. The team announced the deal Tuesday, but did not release the terms of the contract.
Mykhailiuk was selected in the second round of this year's draft. The Ukraine-native put up 14.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.7 assists for Kansas, dominating from behind the arc. He led the conference with a 44.4 percent shooting percentage from three-point range on his way to setting the KU single season record for threes in a game (115).
His performance earned him a slot on the All-Big 12 Second Team.
Earlier this month - on the same day Lebron James announced he was heading west - Malik Newman inked a two-way contract with the Lakers.
The agreement means Newman, who went undrafted, may move up-and-down between the Lakers and their G-league affiliate.
