LAWRENCE, Kan. (WIBW) -- Long Beach is coming to Lawrence!
Late Night at the Phog just got even cooler when Snoop Dogg comes to town - and Allen Fieldhouse - for the basketball kickoff party.
With a tweet featuring Jayhawks' head coach Bill Self walking through the record store, wearing gold chains and a (tucked in) Adidas shirt, of course. He stops at the CD rack and grabs copies of the rapper's classic Doggystyle and 2011's Doggumentary so he can be ready for next weekend.
They did not say when during the festivities he will perform, however the rest of the schedule has been laid out.
Everything kicks off 11 a.m., on October 4, in the east lawn of the parking lot.
1 p.m. - Booth Family Hall of Athletics closes
2 p.m. - DeBruce Center closes
4 p.m. Phog Fest closes
4:30 p.m. - Student doors open
5 p.m. - General public doors open
6:30 p.m. - Start of Late Night at the Phog
In addition to Snoop, fans will get music from the KU pep band, routines from its spirit squad and dance teams, skits by both men's and women's basketball teams and more.
In light of the news of the tragic death of Snoop Dogg's 10-day-old grandson, 13 NEWS has reached out to confirm, he will still make it to the performance. We will update this story with their response.
