(WIBW) - According to KCTV5, Kansas City Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill and his fiancee, Crystal Espinal, temporarily lost custody of their three-year-old child, pending further court action. The Kansas City Star is also reporting this information.

Neither outlet has stated when the child was removed or who he is staying with.

KCTV5 reports it was at the courthouse for two separate Hill appearances: one on April 5, which the station said was an emergency hearing as Hill's child temporarily went to another residence.

The other appearance was on Wednesday, April 17. The station said Espinal accompanied him for the appearance and posted video of it.

According to both outlets, the Kansas Department for Children and Families is investigating child abuse claims at Hill's home. KCTV also reports the Johnson County District Attorney's office is looking into allegations against Hill.

Both outlets are also reporting the NFL requested the police records involving these child abuse complaints against Hill.

This all stems from two Overland Park police reports from a month ago that focused on Hill's home. One was for child abuse and neglect, dated March 5, while the other was for battery, dated March 14.

Hill and Espinal's names are listed on the abuse and neglect report. However, only Espinal's is listed on the abuse and battery one.

According to Overland Park Police, the report for abuse and neglect was closed three days later when prosecution was declined.
