WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) -- Blake Bell's NFL career is bringing the Wichita-native back home - or at least pretty close to it.
A source confirmed to 13 NEWS' sister-station KWCH that the Bishop Carroll High and University of Oklahoma alum has signed with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Bell, 27, was among the nation's elite prep quarterbacks at Bishop Carroll, graduating in 2010, before heading south to play for the Sooners.
The San Francisco 49ers drafted him in the fourth round of the 2015 draft.
After going from throwing the ball to catching it, the now-tight end played in the Bay Area for two seasons before moving on to Minnesota in 2017. He signed with Jacksonville.
