(WIBW) - New Kansas head football coach Les Miles will reportedly have to search for an offensive coordinator again.

According to FootballScoop, KU offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey is expected to be named the new head coach at Troy. The Jayhawks hired Lindsey back on Dec. 4.

A sister station of 13 News, WSFA in Montgomery, Ala., confirmed on Wednesday that Lindsey had interviewed for Troy's head coaching job.

This would be a return to the Trojans for Lindsey. He served as the program's quarterbacks coach in 2010.

He also has a great deal of familiarity with the state of Alabama. Lindsey was a high school coach for many years in the state before going to Troy. He's also been the offensive coordinator at Auburn, his most recent job before being hired at Kansas.

Other college programs Lindsey has coached at include Arizona State and Southern Miss.
