(WIBW) -- On Friday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that running back Carlos Hyde is set to visit with the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday.

The Jacksonville Jaguars released Hyde on Friday, sending the veteran into free agency.

Hyde spent one season with Jacksonville (2018-19) and notched 58 carries for 189 yards. He previously spent time with the Cleveland Browns and the San Francisco 49ers.

Schefter also added Hyde could complement Chiefs running back Damien Williams in the backfield. Williams signed a two-year contract extension with Kansas City in December.

Yahoo! Sports' Terez Paylor added to Schefter's tweet, saying there's a "good chance" that the Chiefs and Hyde agree to a deal during his visit.

Any contract would be pending until Hyde's physical is passed.
