TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Hayden High School now has summer homework: fill the role of head girl's basketball coach.

After two years at the helm, Luke Noll has decided to step down.

According to the Topeka Capital-Journal, Noll and his wife, Sara, have both accepted teaching positions with Maur Hill-Mount Academy in Atchison.

Noll spent five seasons coaching for the Wildcats, including the last two as head of the girls basketball program. In his first, Noll led the Lady Wildcats to a 4A Division II state tournament berth.

With Hayden, he posted an 18-25 record in two seasons.

Noll, a Nortonville native, cited the couple's decision as a desire to be closer to home.
