Manhattan High standout Sam Shields commits to K-State
Chris Klieman and Kansas State have a commitment to keep a Manhattan native in the city.
Manhattan high offensive lineman Sam Shields announced his verbal commitment to the Wildcats on Wednesday night.
"First, I would like to thank God for allowing me to play this game," Shields wrote. "I also would like to thank my family, friends and coaches for all of the support they have given me throughout this process. With that being said, I would like to announce I am committed to Kansas State University!"
According to 247Sports.com, Shields is rated as a three-star recruit and ranked as the seventh-best offensive lineman for the Class of 2020 in the state of Kansas.
Shields is the fourth commitment for Kansas State's 2020 recruiting class.
