LAWRENCE, Kan. (WIBW) -- Lagerald Vick is listed as one of the 100+ players that withdrew from the NBA Draft Thursday, according to the Kansas City Star.
Vick averaged 12.2 points and 4.8 rebounds per game last season as a junior.
"I will never forget the accomplishments and how you all have supported me," Vick said when he declared for the draft on April 6. "It is now time for me to move on to the next chapter of my life. I am declaring for the 2018 NBA Draft and do not plan to hire an agent at this moment. Thanks for the love. ROCK CHALK!!"
Because Vick did not hire an agent, he is eligible to return to the college game. He could also play in the G-League or overseas. His mother, La La. told the Kansas City Star he is not interested in overseas options.
Vick can return to KU and play, but if he transfers to another university he'd have to sit out a year in accordance with NCAA transfer rules.
Bill Self said of Vick back in April: "Lagerald had a really good year for us. He started out so hot and finished strong. I believe the time is right for him to move on, explore his options as a professional and see what develops."
