Maary Lakes, K-State women's basketball player, arrested early Monday

MANHATTAN, Kan. According to the Riley County Police Department, Kansas State women's basketball player Maary Lakes was arrested early Monday morning.

Lakes was charged with domestic battery. The Riley County Police Department's arrest report states she was arrested at 12:10 a.m. at 1823 College Avenue.

A Kansas State athletics spokesperson said the athletic department is gathering information on the incident and won't comment until more is known.

Lakes is a sophomore center who played in 33 games for the Wildcats last season. She averaged 1.6 points per game and 2.1 rebounds per game.
