LAWRENCE, Kan. (WIBW) - Bill Self and the Jayhawks have another challenging non-conference slate to tackle next season.

Kansas men's basketball released its out-of-conference schedule for the 2019-20 campaign on Monday. It's one that features high-profile matchups with Duke, Villanova and KU's seventh trip to the Maui Invitational. And it all begins with a blue blood battle with the Blue Devils in the world's most famous arena.

KU will square off with Duke on Nov. 5 at Madison Square Garden in the State Farm Champions Classic to begin the regular season. The Blue Devils lead the all-time series with the Jayhawks by a count of 7-5, but Kansas has taken the last three meetings.

Then, three foes in UNC Greensboro, Monmouth and East Tennessee State visit Allen Fieldhouse before the Maui Invitational in Hawaii begins on Nov. 25. The teams attending will be Kansas, host Chaminade, Dayton, Georgia, Michigan State, UCLA, Virginia Tech and Yale. Kansas is 3-0 vs. Chaminade, 1-1 vs. Dayton, 4-0 vs. Georgia, 6-7 vs. Michigan State, 8-10 vs. UCLA, 0-0 vs. Virginia Tech and 3-0 vs. Yale.

The Jayhawks then return home when a former conference opponent comes to Lawrence. KU hosts Colorado on Dec. 7, making it the first meeting between the two since 2013. Former Jayhawk guard Tad Boyle coaches the Buffaloes.

Wisconson-Milwaukee will visit next before a local matchup takes place in the Sprint Center. UMKC and Kansas will square off in Kansas City on Dec. 14 as a part of the Jayhawk Shootout. A new head coach in Billy Donlon now leads the Kangaroos.

Following that meeting, KU will face Villanova for a third-straight season on Dec. 21 as a part of the Big 12-Big East Challenge. The Jayhawks edged the Wildcats last season in Lawrence, tying the all-time series at 4-4. That ended a three-game wining streak for Jay Wright's team in the series.

Kansas then makes a road trip to Stanford on Dec. 29. It will be the fourth-straight year the two have played, as KU got by the Cardinal with a 90-84 overtime win at Allen Fieldhouse last season.

The Jayhawks will close their non-conference schedule with an opponent from the SEC in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge on Jan. 25 at Allen Fieldhouse. Their non-conference slate can be seen below. Home games are listed in all caps.
