KU loses 2-0, season ends in the Third Round

The Jayhawks season comes to a close against No. 5 South Carolina.

COLUMBIA, SC (WIBW) - Kansas's soccer season comes to a close in the Third Round of the NCAA Tournament. The No. 11 Jayhawks fall to No. 5 South Carolina 2-0.

KU held the Gamecocks scoreless in the first half, however South Carolina found the net a pair of times in the second.

Kansas finishes the season with a 17-5-3 overall record. That's just one win away from tying the most wins in a season in program history. This appearance in the Third Round ties the deepest run KU has made in the NCAA Tournament.
