MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - Former Kansas State guard Shaun Williams announced on Twitter that he will transfer to CSU Bakersfield. Williams entered the transfer portal a month ago.

Williams played 46 minutes in five games this season, averaging 3.6 points per game while adding six assists. The guard didn't make his debut this year until the fourth game against Arkansas-Pine Bluff. He served a suspension due to reasons K-State has not disclosed.

Last season, he averaged 7.1 minutes over 30 games of action. Williams scored 1.4 points per game and racked up 19 assists.

The St. Louis native played high school basketball with fellow Wildcat Xavier Sneed at Hazelwood Central High School.
