Sabetha took down Pratt on Saturday, 43-42, after an overtime touchdown led to a successful 2-point conversion.
The Blue Jays repeat as Class 3A state champions for the first time in school history. They have a previous Class 4A state championship from 1993 when the school was combined with Wetmore.
Despite an early 18-0 lead, the defending champions found themselves trailing Pratt 35-28 with under two minutes left in the game.
The game went into overtime after Sabetha scored with less than a minute to play.
In overtime, Pratt scored first, but quarterback Gabe Garber connected with Ryan Stapleton to bring the score to 42-41. Garber then chose to keep it himself on the two-point conversion, giving Sabetha the win.
Head coach Garrett Michael said the game was a tough one to pull through, but his team did it for his seniors.
"It's really hard to win one, let alone back to back because everybody's gunning for you," said Michael. "Our kids took it one day at a time. It's a mature team. I'm happy for the seniors--there's 15 going out."
The Blue Jays finish their season undefeated at 13-0.
