MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - A rematch with one of the best players in college basketball, an SEC showdown and multiple neutral-site matchups highlight the 2019-20 non-conference schedule for Kansas State men's hoops.

The Wildcats released their full slate on Monday, which includes nine home games. And the biggest one will feature a Big East opponent who got the best of K-State last season.

Marquette will visit Manhattan on Dec. 7. The Golden Eagles have one of college basketball's most dynamic players in guard Markus Howard, who scored 45 points in an 83-71 victory over the Wildcats in Milwaukee last year. This matchup is part of a Big 12/Big East scheduling series.

KSU also has one of those with the SEC in the Big 12/SEC Challenge. While we don't know its opponent for that game on Jan. 25 yet, we do know K-State will travel for a neutral-site game against Mississippi State in New Jersey on Dec. 14. That will be a part of the Never Forget Tribute Classic. The Bulldogs went 23-11 last season and lost in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

Other neutral-site matchups include the Fort Myers Tipoff on Nov. 25 and 27 in Fort Myers, Florida. That field includes Missouri Valley Conference Tournament champion Bradley, the Big Ten's Northwestern and the ACC's Pittsburgh.

In an annual neutral-site event, the Wildcats will go to the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri on Dec. 21 to face Saint Louis. This will be the 20th meeting between K-State and the Billikens, with the Wildcats holding a 10-9 edge in the series.

An interesting road matchup will be with UNLV on Nov. 9 in Las Vegas. That will be the earliest non-conference road game in program history and the first visit to the Thomas & Mack Center since 1984.
