(WIBW) - Upsetting the No. 5 team in college football will put the nation on notice. Just ask Kansas State.

The Wildcats broke into the national polls on Sunday following Saturday's 48-41 win over Oklahoma. They are No. 22 in the Associated Press poll and No. 25 in the coaches poll.

K-State's win over the Sooners was its first win over a top-five opponent since 2006. It also marked the program's first victory over Oklahoma in Manhattan since 1996.

Kansas State will next travel to Lawrence for the Sunflower Showdown with rival Kansas on Nov. 2.
