Ichabods use early lead to down Hornets, 94-81

EMPORIA, Kan. (WIBW) -- A hot start was the difference down the stretch for Washburn, which led 51-27 with 3:23 left in the first half.

That effort resulted in a 94-81 win for the Ichabods who claimed their sixth win in the last eight meetings over the Hornets.

Emporia State was led by Julius Jackson with 21 points, followed by Kooper Glick with 12 and Justin Washington with 10.

Washburn was led by Javion Blake who notched 32 points, followed by Sevon Witt with 16 points off the bench and Tyas Martin with 12.
