Former KSU Star Barry Brown signs with Timberwolves

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - Former Wildcat Barry Brown signed a contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The expectation is that Brown will play with the Timberwolves G-League affiliate, the Iowa Wolves, during the 2019-20 season.

Brown announced the news on Twitter, showing pictures of him signing the contract.

Brown appeared in seven games with the Timberwolves during the 2019 NBA Summer League. He averaged 8.0 points on 40 percent shooting, including averages of 2.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 steals in 16.6 minutes per game.

The Wildcat stand-out was the 2019 Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and played a major role in three NCAA Tournament appearances for Kansas State. He also helped lead KSU to a share of the 2018-19 Big 12 regular season title.
