LAWRENCE, Kan. (WIBW) - Former Kansas running back Dom Williams announced on twitter he is committed to Northern Iowa University.

Williams played three seasons with the Jayhawks. He ends his KU career with 126 carries for 470 yards and three rushing touchdowns.

Williams burst onto the scene his freshmen year, scoring the three rushing touchdowns in his Jayhawks career. But, he was passed up on the depth chart with the arrival of Pooka Williams. Dom Williams appeared in just 4 games this season and carried the ball only 20 times.

He joins a Panthers squad fresh off a 10-5 season where they advanced all the way to the FCS Playoffs Quarterfinals.
