Emporia State falls to No. 23 Pittsburg State 47-23

PITTSBURG, Kan. (WIBW) - Emporia State football couldn't pull through in its first road test of the season.

The Hornets fell 47-23 to No. 23 Pittsburg State on Saturday night. Pittsburg State was able to capitalize on three interceptions. Emporia State also struggled on third down, converting just three out of 14 opportunities.

ESU will next face Nebraska-Kearney at home on Sept. 21.
