EMPORIA, Kan. (WIBW) - Jordan Reed kept fighting for yards and stretched Emporia State to a last-minute victory over Fort Hays State on Saturday.
Braxton Marstall found Reed with 51 seconds left to give the Hornets a 28-24 victory over Fort Hays State. It capped off a comeback for Emporia State, who was down 17-7 at one point and scored 21 points in the fourth quarter.
Marstall led a 15-play, 69-yard drive to put Emporia State ahead for good. He threw for 289 yards and three touchdowns. While Reed caught two touchdowns, Tyler Harris also had a big day, going for 140 yards and two touchdowns.
The Hornets will take on Central Missouri next on Oct. 13.
