(WIBW) -- The NFL offseason always seems to come equipped with way too early predictions, but on Thursday, ESPN announced several that Kansas City Chiefs fans will like.

According to ESPN's Football Power Index, the Chiefs have the highest chance to win Super Bowl LIV (54) at 16%.

The number is the same given to the New England Patriots last preseason before the team won Super Bowl LIII.

Unfortunately, Kansas City has three other teams right on its heels.

The New Orleans Saints are next with a 15% chance to win the big game, followed by the Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams with a 12% chance each.

The teams were the final four remaining last season.

ESPN's model also predicted the most likely Super Bowl matchups. Kansas City versus New Orleans was the most probably at 7%.

The FPI also forecasted the Chiefs to win 10.3 games next season, and gave the team a 65% chance to win the AFC West and an 80% chance to reach the playoffs.

The Patriots have a slightly better win total projection, higher chance to win their division and make the playoffs, but ESPN said its due to a "much easier schedule" than the Chiefs.
