(WIBW) - For the second straight month, the NFL named a Chief as the defensive star of the AFC.

Defensive end Chris Jones was honored with the conference's Defensive Player of the Month award for November on Thursday. This comes after Dee Ford won it for October.

Jones led the NFL in sacks for November with five. He also tied for the league lead in tackles for loss with six. The Mississippi State alumnus currently has a sack in seven straight games, which is tied for the longest streak in the NFL this season.

The third-year defensive lineman is having the best season of his career. His nine sacks and 13 tackles for loss through 11 games are already career highs.
