DENVER, Colo. (WIBW) - Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was injured during the team's game against the Denver Broncos. Mahomes suffered a dislocated knee.

The injury happened when Mahomes was running on 4th and short. After the play was over, Mahomes stayed on the ground and removed his helmet. He motioned towards his knee several times before an athletic trainer appeared to have fixed his knee. Mahomes eventually walked off the field under his own power.

Reports say that there weren't any fractured bones. Mahomes will have MRI's in the coming days to see if any ligament damage has occurred.

No official word has been given yet on how long the injury will keep Mahomes out.
